Layla, you've got me on my knees, Layla....

Happy April Friends!!

The best thing about my job is i get to talk to alot of different people everyday. The worst thing about my job is that i get to talk to a lot of people everyday. Working with the wonderful people of Benbrook is quite the adventure. In the last week I have been cussed out, I have had a customer tell me she loves me, but the best conversation of late was with a guy who is convinced that he is going to win the lottery. He wanted to sit down with me and make sure that all of his winnings would be safe in the bank and covered by FDIC insurance. REALLY! People make me laugh, but i am going to cross my fingers for him cause maybe he will hook a sister up with some cash.

The babies are multiplying and its so much fun to keep up with everyone and where they are at in their pregnancies. I got to meet Miss Channing a couple of weeks ago. She is precious and I kinda want to be BFFs with her. I have never met Remi Roo, but he is precious and I love him from a distance. Now when I am out and see children Its different. Its kind of mind blowing that my friends, people my age have the lives of little people in their hands. I have made it my mission to give the best gifts ever. I am probably going to waste money on stuff that only fits for like a week, but their mama's will love me for that week. I got Channing some really cute baby heels and one of my tellers told me i was helping create a prostitot. Yep you read that right, Prostitot. Baby Prostitute. She is a bit dramatic, but i guess showing her this picture was not helping.

I was trying to come up with a new nickname for my dude on here. One of the girls at work suggested non husband but i am hesitant to go with that so soon. Non-boyfriend, became boyfriend, Non-Husband becomes....well you see where I am going with this. Heavy stuff. For now Dude will do. Pearl Joy calls us Bife, which I think is pretty cool!

The strange thing about where I live in Ft. Worth is that to one side of my apartment complex is a really nice neighborhood with huge beautiful houses and on the other side is a slightly rougher area called Como. A couple of years ago I needed to get my hair did and I couldn't get in to see my regular person so i went to this very nice woman in Como. While i was in there a camera crew came in to film a documentary called 1sqMile. I thought nothing of it till today when I saw that they actually made the documentary and they will be showing at film festivals around the country. I think its pretty cool. Side note, the Como lady chemically burned the mess out of head and I never went back.

Last weekend we went to a wedding. It was very pretty and I am super happy for the newlyweds. The weekend reminded me that Nigerians are difficult to deal with. All of the weddings I have been in have been non Nigerian. And seeing the inner workings of a Nigerian wedding was enlightening. Nigerian weddings sometimes have an added element called the traditional wedding or traditional engagement. The point of the whole thing is really awesome because if focuses on the fact that when people get married their families get married and its really about the joining of the two families. BUT, Nigerians sure do know how to draw things out. Four hours later i was really not feeling the love.

While I love my girlfriends I think its really hard to deal with new women. Guys are just easier to be around. I feel girl on girl crimes are more prevalent than black on black murders. We just don't seem to be comfortable with each other. I think my next hire is going to be a man. I need some testosterone in my work place. All these women are stressing me out. I can't handle all these hurt feelings. I tell you messed up on a transaction and then you start crying. Jigga what?

I love watching Real Time with Bill Maher. He is so brutally honest. Sometimes he hits way below the belt, but for the most part he is right. One of my readers told me not to be political on here, so i am going to try and avoid my political opinions but i read this yesterday and I just wanted to share it. Interesting read.

I am tired now. Today's song is just because its a bad ass song. Yay Eric Clapton.
